COMMEMORATING THE DAY OF THE ENGINEER 2015

Merida, 1 July 2015.- The Governor Rolando Zapata Bello was present at the commemoration of the Day of the Engineer 2015, organized by the Mexican Chamber of Construction Industry (CMIC) delegation Yucatan, which recognized the great contribution to this guild members do every day to Yucatecan society.

In celebration, held in the Halls Uxmal 3 and 4 of the Convention Center Yucatán Siglo XXI, the president said that this sector is one of the most dynamic of the state economy, hence the importance of maintaining a healthy working relationship based on the effort and commitment to promote the development of the entity.

Accompanied by Minister of Public Works, Daniel Quintal Ic, the holder of the Executive Power said that in Yucatan there are engineers and engineers as well as companies in the field of the highest quality to execute all kinds of works, be they for social and family development or infrastructure for trade, services, industry and tourism, among other areas.

"So you come to reaffirm the commitment we have as state administration, to redouble efforts to ensure that the works and projects that need our state have sufficient resources to be executed," he said.

In his message, the local president of CMIC, Edgar Valdez Conde invited engineers to reflect on the future of the profession, since elements as the growth of cities, the demand for more and better services, and care the environment are some of the challenges you face in these times of civil engineering.

"Therefore, we must work to continue to innovate, evolve and keep up with changes in society. Promote the training of new talent through the large institutions that account Yucatan is the big challenge. A new generation we must transmit the bases and quality tools to meet future demands, "he said.

Also, Conde Valdez used to invite the Governor to participate in the 2015 edition of the School of Engineers Day on Sunday July 5 at 7:00 pm. The event, which is a walk of five kilometers and a route of 10 kilometers for runners, start just outside the Faculty of Engineering of the Autonomous University of Yucatan (abattoir).

At the end of the formal ceremony, the president began a raffle organized CMIC for all its members as part of this celebration.
