Scout for AIK's golden trio: "You get a good education"
Alexander Milosevic and Robin Quaison . Three players who blossomed into AIK and now won the U21 European Championship. AIK's chief scout Tobias Ackerman pleased with the players.
- It shows that scouting AIK works, but I lay not so much importance to it, but felt the most because it is fun for Swedish football, says Ackerman to FotbollDirekt.se.
Patrik Carlgren was great penalty hero in the U21 European Championship final. Alongside him was Alexander Milosevic, a strong championship and even Robin Quaison came in and did well intrusion. Carlgren is notoriously AIK player while the two previous recently left the club for foreign adventures.
Quaison are nurtured in the club since the boys' teams while Carlgren taken from a bottenlag in Superettan (Brage) and Milosevic from the Division 1 club Vasalund.
- Just keep working hard and we'll see that there will be new players like that to AIK. I put not so much emphasis on it was good scouting, but felt more that it is fun for Swedish football, says AIK's chief scout Tobias Ackerman.
You do not think it can have a positive impact on AIK?
- Surely, it is. It shows that scouting AIK works and that this gets a good education.
How do you remember Carlgren when you decided to sign him?
- We thought back then that he was Sweden's best young goalkeeper. We knew about and that was exactly what we were looking for.
And Milosevic?
- I saw him as a forward in Vasalund when he was 10-11 years. But these guys just won the European Championship for me is not very strange. They are winning call everybody. I knew they were like good.
